Butt Blaster

Here’s a great move to work your hips and buns!

This move is great because it targets both your Gluteus Maximus and Gluteus Medius, and challenges the stabilizing muscles of your core.

1) Get into table top position on your hands and knees with your back straight and neutral.
2) Squeeze your butt muscle, and raise your right leg out behind, so that it is parallel to the floor. Toes point to the ground.
3) Engage your abs, and bring your right foot out to the side, toes pointing forward.
4) Return your right leg straight behind you, and lower back onto knees. Repeat on opposite leg.

Engage your abs! This will keep your lower back from arching (bad.) Squeeze those buns – don’t let go of the tension until you lower your knee to the ground.

    Jess – I would do 10 to 15 reps on each side, maybe two sets. If you want to BURN though, I would do each leg for one minute straight, and switch legs. Who wants buns of steel??? Yeah
